Rapper Baby Cate Drops Off Her ‘SELF LOVE’ EP

Boston based artist Baby Cate releases her latest EP Self Love , available for streaming. The EP is entirely written and produced by the 23-year-old, which comes as no surprise since her previous mixtape Baby Cate: The Mixtape was also self-made.

With four tracks, but really three, the EP is an easy listen as each song is unique in production and concept. ‘Cry,’ a standout track, finds the rapper in different pockets with a continuous bass line that keeps you moving. Hip hop is definitely the focus of this project, but the EP is also blended with elements of rock, pop and alternative r&b.

Seeing as 2020 has been a let down for almost everyone so far, Cate remains optimistic. There’s no record label to her name, but she keeps working on music to release independently later this year.

“Yeah, always working. There’s no way I can’t at this point, it really keeps me sane. More music soon and also collabs.” -Baby Cate
