Quick chat with Upcoming Artist SEHEMYRE

GIVE US A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I am a 22-year-old musical artist and producer from Venezuela known as SEHEMYRE. (Born August 9, 1997)

WHEN DID YOU START MAKING MUSIC AND WAS THERE ANYTHING THAT INFLUENCED YOU TO GET STARTED?
My love for music began when I was six years old, I’d freestyle and listen to a variety of music such as Tame Impala, Psychedelic Rock, the Beatles etc. When I turned 14, I started creating and producing my own beats in FL Studio, which wasn’t for me. At around 18 years old, I began using Ableton which I found more suitable for my workflow. After the suicide of a close friend I began to be more rigorous with releasing music, which at the time was only Lofi music under the name ‘CraniumNoir’. In 2016 I decided to go under my current name, “Sehemyre” and I work with artists like La Zowi, Diego Money, SwagHollywood, Yung Beef, La Albany and many others

HOW HAVE YOUR INFLUENCES CHANGED FROM YOUR START TO YOUR CURRENT POSITION IN THE INDUSTRY?
I would say that a lot, one of my greatest influences was the producer Danny Wolf. He messaged me on twitter saying that he liked the music I was making and giving me advice on how to maneuver through the industry.

ON TO YOUR MUSIC, CAN YOU GIVE US A LITTLE INSIGHT ON YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS BEHIND HOW YOU GO ABOUT CREATING A BANGER LIKE TOKYO?
I usually begin with the melody, which stems from the certain emotion I want to convey, or sometimes the melody and sounds come with emotion. I dig deep into real human experiences such as heartbreak, loss or doubt. When creating the beat for Again, I began with the 808s which are the driving sound of the whole instrumental. (listen to the track below)!

BESIDES MAKING MUSIC, WE KNOW YOU ARE AN UP AND COMING PRODUCER/DJ IN THE SCENE, ARE THERE ANY NEW ARTISTS YOU ARE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT WORKING WITH? ANY NEW PROJECTS WE SHOULD BE LOOKING OUT FOR COME 2020?
I would love to work with artists like SmokePurpp, Yung Lean and producers like Yung Sherman.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT HELPS YOU GET OVER CREATIVE BLOCK IF YOU EVER EXPERIENCE IT?
I tend to meditate and listen to Mantras when I come across a creative block. I do not pressure myself too much to where it can cause me to stress, and I am a very spiritual person. I also listen to artists I like and music I am a fan of.
