Gwei Noel Yengong is an image consultant and fashion designer born in Cameroon, living in Berlin – Germany.
WHAT IS YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO STAYING UP TO DATE WITH THE LATEST FASHION TRENDS?
My main source of inspiration is vintage movies, vintage music videos and my late uncle who used to dress absolutely unique.
IN YOUR OPINION WHY DO CELEBRITIES NEED AN IMAGE CONSULTANT?
Celebrities do need an image consultant because music/acting is art and should be represented with an image that connects or stands out. Celebrities might be good at what they do but just like image consultants are good at what they do a merge of celebrity life and styling will push the celebrity up a little making fans connect also raising his potentials and influence level.
YOU ALWAYS TREND ON INSTAGRAM, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE SO POPULAR?
Well it feels good to trend on Instagram but what I am really excited about is having to inspire and motivate people who thank me for giving them a respectful image rather than just being Insta famous.
WHAT IS THAT ONE THING THAT YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR MIND WHILE PREPARING YOUR CONTENT?
That one thing I always keep in mind creating content is: Would this content be educative to the audience?
WHAT DO YOU THINK SOME OF THE UPCOMING TRENDS ARE GOING TO BE?
I think some of the most upcoming trends will be vintage (old school) it’s about to take off. Vintage fashion has always been there for for a minute now the graph has been rising.
IF YOU HAD TO NAME ONE THING, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR FAVORITE THING IN YOUR WARDROBE RIGHT NOW?
My shoe hahaha would be my favourite thing in my wardrobe. This is a shoe I designed myself and it took a while to be produced finally it is here. I’m excited
FROM YOUR COLLECTION, WHAT FIVE PIECES DO YOU THINK EVERY MAN SHOULD OWN?
From my collection, I think every man should own a black suit, a blue suit, a grey suit and a pair of black shoes and white shirts. These are basic colors for every gentleman.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BRAND AND WHY?
My favourite brand used to be Louis Vuitton but it shifted to Alessandro Veneto. Alessandro Veneto is the most unique brand I have ever seen, only sells from 1-10th of every month. No discounts, The only brand that comes with a manual on how to use the products you bought.
