I am originally from Pakistan but raised and based in Dubai. I design and execute customer journey experiences for businesses and coach young executives to become leaders of tomorrow. I am a writer too and love handling complexities of life with philosophical ease.
HOW DID YOUTUBE HAPPEN? WHAT INSPIRED YOU?
YouTube as we all know is a fantastic platform to build your personal brand. I have been invited to speak on different seminars and corporate events in the past so I got encouraged to invest more time and effort into this. I am a firm believer that every individual needs to contribute to the society in a positive way and my inspiration comes from people and their admiration for meaningful videos.
WHAT IS THAT ONE THING THAT YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR MIND WHILE PREPARING YOUR CONTENT?
I have my 4 clearly outlined rules when creating content and one of these has to be met:- ‘What is in it ‘ for the audience? Will it impact them in a positive way? Will it help them become a better version of themselves? What knowledge will they take after watching it?
CAN YOU PLEASE TALK ABOUT YOUR CHANNEL “PLUGOUT WITH ZOHAIB MALIK” AND ACCORDING TO YOU AS A YOUTUBER, WHAT STANDS YOU OUT FROM OTHERS?
It helps business owners get their basics correct, gives fresh grads a direction in their corporate career starts, allows managers to look at different angles of leadership. My inspiration are the people and their admiration for the value they get out of my channel. I also have content for people that love poetry, philosophy and hearing about different situations about life in general. It offers a lot of different options for people to chose what they wish to see.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION? HOW MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY AND COACHING PEOPLE?
I hold an MBA in management and currently in the 15th year of my corporate journey. I have worked with major brands from Aviation, Telecommunication, Real Estate, Retail, and FM industries.
SINCE WHEN ARE YOU WRITING?
I have been writing since I was 16 and currently close to publishing my first book.
WE CAN SEE THAT YOUR CHANNEL IS REALLY IMPRESSIVE AT SUCH AN EARLY STAGE. WHAT’S ON THE PLATTER NEXT?
For the time being, the goal is to reach my first 100 videos in the first 2 years or so. I also plan to launch a sports hub app which is currently in the planning phase
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL OUR READERS WHO WANT TO START SOMETHING SIMILAR?
Don’t overthink, don’t over strategize, don’t demand perfection. Just start, put fingers in your ears and keep moving forward . Give out more and expect nothing.
