Interview with Actor & Serial Entrepreneur Kyle Klaus

HEY KYLE! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS KYLE KLAUS IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Kyle Klaus is a small-town boy at heart with a huge value on family. I’m a big dreamer. My head is very much in the clouds, however my feet are very much planted on the ground. I’m very Idealistic but also very logical. I wear many different hats and I’m involved in a lot of many different things. Most of all my love and passion is in the arts, filmmaking and acting. However I’ve grown to also love and appreciate business and many different entrepreneurial endeavors. I’m very creative and also business-minded. Always looking to grow and contribute as well as spend time with my family.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?
My personal brand relates to many different audiences. I would have to say my personal brand is lifestyle. Clean, luxury, humor, and good old hard work motivation, grind and grit.

WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
Because it also satisfies my creative side. I love trying a lot of different new things, I like to explore different fields, and all the layers, and that’s what entrepreneurship is all about. I’m very passionate about creating things out of nothing and also being able to create jobs for other people gives me huge satisfaction.

WHY REAL ESTATE?
Real estate is the most diverse industry I can think of. There are other industries that you could argue everybody needs, like phones, food, etc. however Real Estate is literally used by everyone. Everyone needs a place to live. There are also so many different aspects of real estate that you can keep growing and keep learning and it never stops. Whether it’s personal investment or business use, real estate is something for everyone, and it’s always evolving.

WHO IS THAT ONE PERSON OR EVENT THAT HAS INFLUENCED YOUR GROWTH THE MOST AND HOW?
My dad played a huge role in my work ethic and drive. And my mom’s unconditional love and compassion is what always kept me energized. I think those family values have helped me the most to excel through life. Professionally, I trained with some of the most wonderful acting coaches and I learned from some of the best real estate mentors. But I also learned a lot through my own observation, watching how others were succeeding. However, every endeavor I pursued I didn’t have someone to give me a handout.. Figuring out how to grow a successful real estate career, figuring out how to navigate an acting career and start a business, all that was through trial and error, and relentless stubbornness to never quit.  I will attribute my parents for helping me along the way, providing me with a good upbringing, instilling great values in me, always encouraging me to follow my dreams, and always assuring me that I could do anything I set my mind to.

WHAT IS THAT ONE THING THAT YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR MIND WHILE PREPARING FOR A NEW CLIENT?
It’s always about the client and it’s always about what they want. If you just keep the client’s best interest in mind and heart they will know that and you will ultimately regain their business as well as create happy clients and referrals. Your business will keep growing.

WHAT STRATEGIC ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR UP AND COMING ENTREPRENEURS?
Dream big but also think logically. Have a plan. A napkin plan is fine, just write it out. Also it helps that if you do what you want first, what you’re passionate about, become an expert on that, then you can easily train another person how to do the same, SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE BEST TEAM, and that is a successful way to grow your business. I tried it. It’s not easy, but can be done.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO GROW YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?
I don’t really think about my personal brand. I just put stuff out there and people respond to it and then I keep putting more of that stuff out that more people respond to. I’m a very diverse person and I think if you worry too much about your personal brand it will limit you. Do what it is that is true to you and your personal brand will come out of it.

HOW DO YOU SEE THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IN THE NEXT YEAR?
Oh, I see a lot of things changing. I’m honestly a little worried about when people will finally go back to work on sets and in close quarters. I’m worried about when it will be safe to go back. Acting is fun, but it requires total freedom of movement, and being able to immerse completely into your character’s life, and how can you act naturally when you’re worried for your safety? It will be interesting to see how this goes. As of right now I know the entertainment industry keeps getting pushed back for productions to start. I think they will start coming back slowly, however the big test will be around fall and winter and the flu seasons. We’ll definitely have the worst pilot season ever! And that’s just in the middle of the winter. Well, let’s stay positive and just hope for the best.

ANYTHING IN WORKS THAT YOU CAN TALK ABOUT? ANY EXCITING NEW PROJECTS?
I’m working on a feature-length film that I wrote with one of my best friends. We are revising the script. We’ve registered it with the Writers Guild of America and are currently holding some meetings and sending it out there. I’ve also partnered with some very talented people in opening a very cool restaurant in Hoboken, NJ, called Touch The Heart. It’s a cross between a dim sum high end American fusion place & a florist shop; (and yes, you can actually purchase flowers from our restaurant). I’ve also started a YouTube channel, where I talk about financial knowledge including stocks, real estate and anything else that is currently happening; I also touch on the acting and entertainment industry as well. I believe that anyone can follow their dreams, and with a little bit of financial knowledge, set themselves up for the future to be able to do whatever it is they truly want to do. Also I’m always onto the next real estate projects. We’ve also opened a second office in Montclair New Jersey with Prestige Properties. I’ve also recently added a new product to my online store where I have privately labeled a shop shopping cart handle cover for the grocery stores. All of these while I’m also figuring out of new, exciting projects. It’s safe to say that I have a lot going on; LOL.
