Volvo teamed with Persapien to launch #BreatheFree campaign

Keeping in mind the adverse effects of air pollution, Volvo partners with PerSapien to launch #BreatheFree campaign. According to the campaign, together they will be creating 50 clean zone school buses across Delhi-NCR. The campaign is allegedly initiated to counter the air pollution level.

We all know that how Delhi’s pollution is detrimental for the health and how it could impact the children who are just at the growing stage. The effects of pollution can be really dangerous for children if not taken proper initiatives, their brain can be irreversibly damaged, and pollution can even deteriorate their IQ level and can seriously hamper their performance.

To combat the tolling effects of air pollution, especially amongst children, Minus2point5 device has been invented by Debayan Saha who is also the co-founder of PerSapien. The device will be installed in the exhaust pipe of Volvo school buses, which in turn, will make the particulate matter 2.5 dispersed in the air heavier and settle them down in the soil, thereby preventing the miscreant particles from entering the blood vessels through the respiratory tract.

In a statement, Debayan Saha said, “Solving environmental crisis is not an individual’s responsibility. So we were looking forward for partners who shared similar environmental concern and fortunately found Volvo with whom we figured out a way to improve the air quality of buses which if not catered to could severely impact the children’s health.”
