Miss Monique drops original production “Veselka” – the first single of the year on her label, Siona Records.
Instantly recognisable behind the decks with her distinctive production sound and neon green hair, Ukraine’s Miss Monique was one of 2023’s standout artists, diligently cultivating a powerful niche within the progressive house scene through her inimitable productions, performances, and influential live streams on her own YouTube channel. Her label, Siona Records, has been at the heart of this revolution, delivering a slew of melodic, trance-tinged house and techno from some of Ukraine’s most exciting artists.
Leading from the front as a statement of intent for 2024, it is Miss Monique herself who will kickstart Siona Records’ output in what looks set to be a game-changing year for both artist and label. Hotly anticipated by her passionate fanbase, “Veselka” was a standout production from her now legendary Cercle live stream from Montreal and has opened most of her recent live sets.
“Veselka” is rooted in vast, cavernous drums that roll deep with a growling bassline adding weight. As the track builds, melody and synths are layered to deliver her trademark big-room energy crescendos which explode into a kaleidoscopic colour of sound, creating hands-in-the-air moments throughout her huge Christmas and New Year shows from Berlin to Dubai and San Diego.
