Travis Bryant is Crayola’s Newest Ambassador

Travis Bryant is definitely a force to be reckoned with. The 22-year-old actor has built his name for himself with a slew of television guest roles and film cameos but also now as the newest/youngest global ambassador for the Crayola Company. Previous celebrity ambassadors include Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross.

Crayola is launching a box of crayons with different skin tones for children to “accurately color themselves into the world.” With their newest campaign, “Colors of the World”, the Disney vetren will appear in TV and digital ads including social media running in July ahead of the 2020-21 school year as well as assist in their launch with Wal-Mart.

The Sofia the First star shared “I am absolutely honored to work amongst a company that’s pushing for inclusion, diversity, and representation. To know I’m standing alongside an incredible brand I’ve known since I was a little boy and to be able to represent them in giving the youth inspiration is humbling” Bryant continued “I only hope to continue to use my platform to empower youth of color”.

The ‘Colors of the World’ campaign will feature Crayola’s newest box of crayons with different skin tones for children to “accurately color themselves into the world”. The Crayola Company said in a statement the box includes 24 new crayons designed to mirror and represent over 40 different skin tones.

They crayons themselves will be wrapped in a gradient skin tone label with the color name in English, Spanish and French, and a realistic color name — such as Light Golden, Deep Almond, and Medium Deep Rose.

“With the world growing more diverse than ever before, Crayola hopes our new Colors of the World crayons will increase representation and foster a greater sense of belonging and acceptance,” said Crayola CEO Rich Wuerthele in the statement.
