Taylor Fangman Spills About Her Biggest Influences, Charity Work And More

Taylor Fangman – Born in Ohio and raised in a town of less than 1200 people, Taylor is a small-town girl with big city dreams. She was able to convince her family to move to Los Angeles to allow her to pursue a career in acting. Coming from a military family, until now Taylor spent most of her life moving around. While some see the disadvantages of moving from place to place, Taylor saw it as the perfect way to explore new places, learn about new cultures, and meet new people. These life experiences have led her to find the positive in every situation. Taylor’s bright light of positivity shines through in everything she does whether it’s posing for pictures on a red carpet or presenting new ideas to her favorite charities. Aside from acting, her passion is raising awareness to the needs of those with Down Syndrome. Having a  little sister with Down Syndrome has taught Taylor the importance of inclusivity and kindness for those with special needs. Taylor’s ultimate goal is to be a bright light in the world lighting the way for not only her sister, but for those that need a little extra support, love, and kindness. Quickly becoming a typical SoCal teen, Taylor enjoys traveling, going to Disney, and spending time with her friends.

HI! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS TAYLOR FANGMANN  IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Hey, Y’all! I’m from a super small town in Ohio, now living in LA to pursue my goals of becoming an actress. I would describe myself as being creative and kind. I try to always be a bright light in this world. You never truly know what someone may be going though, and your smile might be all they need to change their mood! I try to always remember that.

WHEN YOU DECIDED TO BE AN ACTOR, DID YOUR FAMILY SUPPORT YOU?
My family supported me in so many more ways than I could have thought possible! My sister and I decided at the same time we wanted to try acting. Less than 6 months later we had an apartment in LA and my parents moved our family here full time so we could go all in.

HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO ESTABLISH YOURSELF IN THE FILM INDUSTRY?
It is pretty difficult to get established in the industry. Just be true to who you are and what you stand for. Word HARD, never give up, and I feel like that’s the best way to establish yourself!

WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
I have many people I take inspiration from and look up to. Both of my parents are very hard working so they always influence me to work harder. As far as industry influences. Hmmm. That’s hard. I feel like my influences change based on the type of role I’m working on. I do really admire Caterina Scorsone. She’s a special needs mom, advocate and an incredible actress.

YOU ARE ALWAYS ASSOCIATED WITH ACTS OF CHARITY, AND HOW DO THESE ACTS IMPACT YOUR LIFE?
Acts of charity are so important to me especially when it comes to things involving the Down Syndrome community. My little sister has Down Syndrome and she has taught me so much already and she’s only 3. My mission is to teach others that people with disabilities are different, not less. Being able to work with charities that also share that mission genuinely gives me hope that we can change how people see disabilities.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS/ROLES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
Nothing at this moment, but hoping to have something to share soon!

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OUR READERS?
Random fact about me. I love Disneyland and own way too many pairs of Minnie ears.
