We sat down to chat with Stefania Lily about her new song Alone. During our interview 15 year old sensational singer-songwriter opened up about life, writing, and being a teenager.
Hi Stefania thank you for making time to talk to us.
Hi! Thank you for having me.
Congratulations on your new single, Alone. It’s getting great reception.
Thank you so much! I’m really happy with the way it’s going and that a lot of people get to hear my music.
Alone is such an emotional song. What was it like writing this song?
I don’t set time aside to specifically write songs. I just write songs whenever I have an idea and I can’t let it go. I wrote this particular song as I was waiting for my brother to pick me up from a pantry that I was volunteering at during COVID lockdown. I wasn’t trying to write a sad song, I was just writing. With all the heartbreaking stories I heard that day, I guess that feeling snuck into my song.
You are the only one who got writing credit on this song. Does this mean you write your songs alone?
Oh! A lot of people ask me this question. Yes, I write all the lyrics and melodies of my songs on my own.
Do you have any hobbies?
Of course! I have many hobbies! When I’m not writing music I’m either drawing or baking for my family.
What does your typical day look like?
All my days look pretty different but they definitely all include dancing, piano, and writing. Depending on what I have planned that day I wake up around 6:00 am. I stretch, practice piano and produce. I try to go to bed at 9:30 pm but…that never happens.
You’re a teenager. Do you go out often with your friends?
Since quarantine started it has been more difficult to go out. I try to go out but I spend most of my time with my family.
Is there new music in the future?
Yes! I’m very excited to make more music and to be announcing more things about my EP that’s coming out 2022. So stay tuned and check my social media or my website frequently for updates.
