Soccer Star Lionel Messi Named Global Brand Ambassador for BYJU’S “Education for All” Initiative

Soccer superstar Lionel Messi announced on his personal social media account that he would be taking on the role of global brand ambassador for the education initiative, BYJU’S Education For All (EFA).

In his post, Messi emphasized the importance of providing all children with equal opportunities to learn and grow, regardless of their background or location. He praised the brand BYJU’S for its efforts to help children from underserved communities gain access to world-class educational resources.

Messi wrote, “Children are our future. And each child, no matter where they live or where they were born, deserves a fair chance. An equal opportunity to learn and grow. @byjus_app and their world-changing initiative #EducationForAll are helping children from underserved communities with access to world-class educational resources. I believe that this simple initiative has the power to change the world. One student at a time. #BYJUS #EDUCATIONFORALL”

Messi posted a picture of himself doing Namaste and wearing a BYJU’S jersey to promote the initiative. EFA is a multi-stakeholder initiative that provides free access to BYJU’S educational products to children from underprivileged backgrounds. The initiative is based on the pillars of accessibility, inclusivity, efficacy, and social equity, and reaches more than 400 districts in 28 states through partnerships with NGOs, state departments, and district officials.

Nearly half of the EFA beneficiaries are girls and many are from sensitive areas such as border regions and naxal-impacted districts. Nine out of 10 EFA students use BYJU’S regularly, resulting in better learning outcomes for them. BYJU’S Education for All has a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 2, meaning every dollar invested generates a social value of two dollars.

The Co-Founder of BYJU’S, Divya Gokulnath, stated that they are honored to have Messi join their mission to provide accessible education for all children, and they look forward to working with him to expand the reach and impact of the initiative.
