HI ANNISSA, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! POPSTAR, DIRECTOR, SOCIAL MEDIA STAR, AND STUDENT… HOW DO YOU DO IT ALL??
It’s definitely not an easy stretch however I have goals which motivate me on the daily to keep pushing and working hard! For example my goal is to get straight A**’s in this year’s big exams and therefore I make sure to find the time to squeeze in my studying despite a hectic career schedule. I also love every aspect of my job from directing to marketing to social media and being a normal student since when I know I’m working hard towards achieving my goals is when I’m happiest, so that’s also another reason I am able to balance everything without burning out!

DOES IT SOMETIMES FEEL LIKE YOU’RE LIVING A DOUBLE LIFE?
Omg yes it does!! This literally sums up my entire life. For example, if you’ve watched Hannah Montana before, Miley lives a seemingly normal student life yet is simultaneously a popstar in the making which nobody really knows about, that’s sort of my situation. I find it so fun to be able to live a regular teenage life but also chase my dream in the meantime.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE LOOK LIKE?
A typical day in life will consist of me waking up early to study before the day begins. After around 2-3 hours I’ll get ready for school, connect with my followers on instagram and prepare content for the day. When I get to school I’ll have classes until 4pm and have fun with my friends til I arrive home about an hour later. I’ll most likely crash on the sofa for 10 minutes and say hi to my followers on instagram and maybe post something too! After this, I’ll do some homework or study, write a song or even hop onto a business zoom meeting. Depending on the day, different things happen, but that’s roughly how my daily life looks like.

IF YOU COULD ONLY SING OR WRITE SONGS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Hmm this is a tough question because I love both!…however I think my passion for writing is stronger than for singing so I guess I’d have to go with that.

WHICH OF YOUR SONGS TOOK YOU THE LONGEST TO WRITE AND WHY?
“Soundtrack To My Life” took me the longest to write because my producer said the original lyrics weren’t good enough, lol. So I basically had to keep re-writing them and rearranging the story line until I felt I had something super strong.

WHAT ARE THE 3 BEST THINGS ABOUT YOUR MUSIC CAREER?
Getting to share my music with my incredible fans (#AMF), being able to create personal stories into universal soundtracks people can relate to, getting to take part in the craziest yet coolest experiences one could possibly imagine.

Write everyday, co-write with writers, write from the heart/from deep personal experiences.

3 BEST WAYS TO DEAL WITH OVERWHELM?
Understand what is causing you to feel overwhelmed, take a step back from everything to gain perspective, build up the confidence to feel as though you can tackle whatever life has thrown at you.

WHAT ARE YOUR 3 FAVOURITE GUILTY PLEASURES?
Binge-watching netflix shows, eating sweets and all sorts of junk food, staying up really late.

Write your to do list for the day the night before, be neat and tidy, write everything down!!!!
