HI, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS SASHA ANNE IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I am an award winning actress, singer, certified makeup artist and social media influencer. I’m 22 years old (turning 23 july 3) I’m from New York and moved to LA at the end of February to pursue my career in acting and singing. I’m an advocate against bullying and I’m all about encouraging others to be true to themselves. I’m also an avid Disney fan and I always try to invoke the bravery and confidence that my favorite Disney princesses possess. I have over 3 millions views on my YouTube channel and I always want to inspire others to follow their dreams just like I followed mine. I love having a platform where I can use my voice in a positive way to inspire and empower others.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A YOUTUBER?
In 2013 I was watching YouTubers like Kandee Johnson and Jaclyn Hill and I decided I wanted to try and make a video of what’s in my purse and a simple makeup routine since I was only 13 or probably 12 going on 13. I edited the video myself and I just continued to film and post. Eventually I started getting views and subscribers.

HOW MUCH HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED AFTER THE AUDIENCE AWARD FOR BEST IN BEAUTY FOR WONDER WOMAN GAL GADOT MAKEUP VIDEO?
Personally, not much haha! I still went through my normal everyday life. But on YouTube, a lot!  And on Instagram it changed a lot too. More people knew who I was and loved my makeup skills and just wanted to follow and subscribe. They also started to suggest different videos to do. I love interacting with my followers and subscribers.

WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO BEGIN A CAREER AS AN ACTOR? AND HOW DID “REEDS POINT: BAD BLOOD NEVER DIES” HAPPEN?
Ever since I watched the first episode of Hannah Montana on Disney Channel, I said to myself, “this is what I want to do.” I fell in love with the outfits that match the character’s personality and I knew that they were all just acting but I loved how they were all in the moment all day and not getting distracted with life. I could tell they loved being that character and I wanted to be Hannah Montana. So from then on, I worked on it. I was in the school plays in middle school. Not acting because I was too nervous to mess up my lines since I’m dyslexic and I had a hard time memorizing lines fast. But I had all the lead roles in singing. I sang “Suddenly Seymore” from Little Shop of Horrors and everyone loved it. When the play was over, I wanted to do it again. The discussion of “Reeds Point” happened after my manager, Sandy Lo, told Suzanne DeLaurentiis, the movie producer, that I wanted to be an actress. She knew Suzanne, sent her my materials and she took me on for the movie! I was the lead and it was an amazing experience! I continued to work with her and her company after on camera. What an amazing crew!

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING DEBUT SINGLE “CATCH ME I’M FALLING”
My debut single, “Catch Me I’m Falling” was a top hit dance/pop song in the 80s by Pretty Poison. I’m so honored and thankful that I had the opportunity to remake it. It just recently hit number 1 on the top 40 indie music charts. Which is absolutely insane! Everyone who was in the process with me, is just mind blown and they are all so proud of me. I couldn’t have done it without them and I couldn’t have made it to the top without my followers streaming the song! It really has nothing to do with me. It’s all about the plays, streams, purchases by my followers.

YOU’RE A MULTI-TALENTED ARTIST WITH A KNACK FOR BOTH SINGING AND ACTING. WHAT BRINGS YOU MORE JOY, SINGING OR ACTING?
I was just asked this question the other day! I can’t decide. I’m going to just say both. And I’m going to continue doing both. Singing and acting can definitely go hand in hand. I’m in a musical theater class and they teach us how to use acting in singing. When you sing, you tell a story. You are basically acting.

WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
Definitely my brother. He’s in the film/tv industry as a director/producer. He always gives me advice and he’s a great influence. He tells me to surround myself with people who will help me and lift me up. And he also wants me to be careful in this industry. It’s very competitive. My movie producer/music video producer, Suzanne DeLaurentiis is also a big influence. She always gives me great advice on everything. Life advice too. I have a YouTube talk show and she has given me advice on that too. I definitely see myself improving each time. I have her in the back of my head for every episode. And it’s very helpful. I also learned from her on how to take control of situations at times when I need to. For example, when I’m having a meeting about my music, I sometimes need to take control of the conversation.

WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I’m not athletic at all! I workout twice a week but it’s so painful. I’m learning to get stronger though. I love to dance and swim but I don’t run.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS/ROLES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
You can see me in the upcoming pilot comedy “On All Fours” produced by Suzanne DeLaurentiis. It’s based on Jeff Lazarus’s books “Catakism” and “Dogtology” I had a cameo in it and it should be out soon.

WHAT IS ONE MESSAGE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUR FANS?
Live every day to the fullest. You never know what can happen the next day. Keep reaching for your dreams, work on it and do what you love and love what you do!
