WHO ARE YOU?
My name is Okenio Quissongo, also known as Okenio M, Lord Okenio M aka M. A music artist from Angola (Africa) and in my free time a model for Clothing Brands.
WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU MAKE?
I’m open to all types of music but what I do the most is rap. Most of my songs are about my lifestyle, rapping about my experience living in a foreign country, and I also love making love songs even tho my mom always told me that I don’t have a pretty voice. I’m just trying to inspire my generation, and show them that everything is possible, if we want it, we going to get it.
HOW DID YOU START MAKING MUSIC?
When I was in high school, the girls in my city (Luanda) were looking for guys that were doing something, either dancing, rapping, singing, or sports. I wasn’t good at dancing or sports at all, so was either singing or rapping. I chose to do rap because I already had friends who were doing it, and I always loved listening to music and I was like why not make it?
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I’m from Angola, Luanda a country in Southern Africa where everything can happen!
WHEN DID YOU START MAKING MUSIC?
I started making music in 2013, fun fact back in 2013, I used to drop music every day! I’m part of a rap music group called Young Family, I didn’t take music seriously till 2018. Me and my group dropped one of the biggest cypher in Portuguese if not the biggest, after that I understood that I was influencing a lot of people and I had to be more responsible with what I say in my music and how I carry myself in society because most our fans are in the age of 12 to 20ish.
WHAT PLANS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUR MUSIC?
I make music in Portuguese and living in America, I want to collaborate more with native artists to do a bunch of bilingual music, hopefully with big artists like YE, Drake, Tory Lanez, Future, Young Thug, or Gunna. Give a chance to everybody listen to rap in Portuguese at least once.
WHEN IS YOUR NEXT COMING RELEASE?
My next song is called Lavish Featuring 247ze its my first bilingual song so get ready on 8/22. POW!
