HEY PAIGE, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS PAIGE STEIN IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I am from NC and the youngest of 5. I will be going into 7th grade in the fall and love to spend time with my family, friends, and my pets. People describe me as an “old soul”, “caring”, and “easy going”. I guess that is really me in a nutshell.
HOW AND WHEN EXACTLY DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD THE PASSION FOR MODELLING & ACTING?
I have always loved fashion and my Dad’s family works in the movie industry so being surrounded by creative people was something that really peaked my interest. In regards to modeling, I really expressed my interest in getting into modeling last year and my family have been so supportive.
AS A MODEL AND ACTOR, YOU’VE WORKED ON VARIOUS PROJECTS. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE SO FAR, AND WHAT MADE IT STAND OUT?
I was invited to be in a fashion show in LA earlier this year called the “Royal Kingdom Fashion Show” and it was the biggest event I have been in so far. I have never seen anything like it and of course, I was the youngest person there but they made me feel so welcomed. It was so exciting to be in it and to watch all the other models. Something I will never forget.
HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR MODELING AND ACTING ROLES? DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC RITUALS OR TECHNIQUES THAT HELP YOU GET INTO CHARACTER OR ACHIEVE THE DESIRED LOOK FOR A SHOOT?
I kinda just go with the flow. I take direction easily and being in front of a camera isn’t scary to me for some reason.
WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
Milly Bobby Brown – I think she is so good at acting. I really enjoy watching her
WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I get this question a lot and most people are surprised that I swim competitively for my school team and local community teams.
BALANCING A CAREER IN BOTH MODELING AND ACTING CAN BE DEMANDING. HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY AND MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE?
Right now I am in school so it’s not like a “career” yet but I really hope it becomes my career. Rest is the most important thing I have found and hydration!
OUTSIDE OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES AND INTERESTS? HOW DO YOU UNWIND AND RECHARGE WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
I love to draw and spend time with Addie, who is my best friend, and chill with my bearded dragon
ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS/ROLES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
I have two agencies in NY that I met with recently and they both sent me welcome packages to represent me. Working with my manager now to see which one they feel would be the best fit for me.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ASPIRING MODELS AND ACTORS WHO ARE JUST STARTING THEIR CAREERS? WHAT ARE SOME ESSENTIAL LESSONS YOU’VE LEARNED ALONG THE WAY?
Don’t give up and believe in yourself. This industry is not easy and I don’t always get chosen for things I would love to do, but with the help of my family and manager, we just keep pushing.
