HI, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER. THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS OWEN ATLAS IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I am a creative, ambitious, kind person who is also an award winning martial artist, actor, and musician. I have a passion for animals and nature.  I also love entertaining people and helping people.

HOW AND WHEN EXACTLY DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD A PASSION FOR ACTING?
I realized I wanted to become an actor when I was around 4 years old and saw Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

HOW DID “LITTLE EVIL” HAPPEN? WHAT HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE BEEN LIKE WORKING WITH CELEBRITIES LIKE EVANGELINE LILY, ADAM SCOTT, AND SALLY FIELD?
I booked “Little Evil” after only six auditions. I was seven years old and was new to acting, we started filming when I was eight years old. I am so lucky and so blessed to have been able to play Lucas/Little Evil.  My experience working with veteran actors such as Sally Field, Adam Scott, and Evangeline Lilly, was very positive.  I feel like I got very close with Adam Scott and sometimes he really did feel like a stepdad. When we had to do scenes which required wire work and water stunts he was always very considerate of my age and my safety and well-being. Sally Field was such a professional and actually very fun to be around, her grandkids were on set so I loved the days that we got to play and run around. Evangeline Lily was very fun and even caught lightning bugs with me.

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING  FILM “BREATHING HAPPY”
Breathing Happy is a mind bending drama about addiction and recovery and family dynamics. I played the lead character Dylan as a youth. This film gave me an opportunity to dive into some deep and dramatic acting and to pull from within myself.

WILL YOU GIVE US SOME INSIGHT INTO YOUR PROCESS AS AN ACTOR?
Whenever I get a new role I write a character analysis. I figure out who my character is, what they look like, what they like, who their friends are, what the Family dynamic is like, where they live and what that looks like, and every other detail that I can try to imagine. I create my characters so that they become real people to me.

WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
My biggest influences as actors are Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves. My mentors and acting coaches are John D’Aquino and Shane Brady. My martial arts mentor is master Mike Chat who helped me from the beginning to get my dream of becoming an actor to come true. My parents are also big influences in my life.

WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I play many instruments, guitar, trumpet, harmonica, even piano by ear. Also I speak Hebrew fluently.

YOU ARE ALWAYS ASSOCIATED WITH ACTS OF CHARITY AND HUMANITARIANISM; HOW DO THESE ACTS IMPACT YOUR LIFE?
I have learned to be kind and humble through acts of charity. My parents, especially my mom, taught me from an early age to give back.  I am so blessed and lucky for the life that I live. I try to always remember that.

WHAT IS ONE MESSAGE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUR FANS?
I would like my fans to know that they mean the world to me. It’s always been my dream to bring joy to people and to entertain people. My fans are so supportive, especially on social media. I have found that Have supported my posts and made comments from many years. They’ve stuck by me and I really appreciate them.
