Music 20 International Online Festival to be Held in Yerevan

As the world of art is struggling to restore its vitality amid the suspended cultural activities around the globe caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a special classical music festival is brought to the audience by the European Foundation for Support of Culture and Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex, the hosting partner of the festival.

Held in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, the Music 20 International Online Festival will bring together outstanding soloists and conductors to perform 19 brilliant recitals, chamber and symphony concerts July 10 through 28, 2020. Music lovers around the world, too, will have an enjoyable opportunity to follow the live streamed concerts at the official website of the festival: www.music20.am.

The renowned artists will share the stage with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the official orchestra of the festival. Konstantin Ishkhanov, the president of the European Foundation for Support of Culture and Sergey Smbatyan, the Artistic Director of the Festival and the Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, have shared insights on this attempt as an ice-breaker to resume the cultural interaction internationally in the face of the global social distancing.
