Mercedes Blanche is staying busy between Toronto and Los Angeles. We caught up with the social media star and actress to chat about her latest role in the new Global TV show, ‘Robyn Hood’ from Director X.

Thank you very much for the kind words, means a lot. I feel like it was always something I desired to do. Performing was a big part of my childhood, it felt right. If I have to choose a particular person, I will go with Angelina Jolie.I think she is just a superhuman. She became the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nationalhigh commissioner for Refugees in 2012 after getting personally aware of worldwide Humanitarian crises while filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia. Her courage is beyond admirable for visiting highly volatile areas as a Goodwill Ambassador.

I was born in Budapest, Hungary but raised in Toronto, Canada.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEW TV SHOW ‘ROBYN HOOD.’
Yes, so ‘Robyn Hood’ is from Director X. It is an action, drama, sci-fi TV show that is a reimagination of the original Robin Hood where the story follows Robyn Loxley and his anti-authoritarian, masked hip-hop band in the “hood”. They call out injustices and fight for freedom and equality in the city of New Nottingham.
WHAT CHARACTER DO YOU PORTRAY IN THE SHOW?
I play Madison, the love interest of Chet Prince, one of the bad guys in the show.
CAN YOU SHARE ANY FUN FACTS FROM THE SET?
I had a scene where I had to walk out kind of “clumsy” from the room with Chet and somehow my heel broke causing me to fall in front of the camera. It was way too good for the scene. I wish they would have kept that.
CAN YOU TELL US YOUR BEST OR MOST MEMORABLE SHOWBIZ MOMENT SO FAR?
It always feels unbelievable to meet world famous actors on set sometimes. You never know who is going to show up in a show they audition you for. The whole journey was great.
TELL US SOMETHING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
That I am funny. People always assume I am nonchalant for some reason but in reality, I am pretty entertaining.
