HEY LACEY! THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS LACEY CAROLINE IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I am a 14 year old who loves to act, sing and be entertained. I also love spending time with my friends and my three amazing dogs, Lola, Luciano and Lola. Honestly, I am so excited for a new, healthy year and have really missed interacting with other actors and fans during the past 10 months.
TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HOW YOU FIRST GOT INTO THE WORLD OF THE ARTS.
My dad was a professional mascot so my first real acting gig was as the mini mascot for the Charlotte Bobcats. I was several versions of mini mascots in the Charlotte area, including for the Charlotte Hornets at the 2015 French All Star Game. I danced and cheered for a while, but eventually, I found the stage and loved it from the beginning. My first play was Annie, Jr in third grade and I played Molly. I had no true training but also had no fear and knew I had found where I belonged!
LACEY IS AN ACTRESS, HOST, KID REPORTER AND SINGER… ALL ASPECTS OF THE SAME HEART?
Yes, to do any of this you have to be comfortable with people, in front of the crowd and confident in yourself. I have struggled a little with self confidence but work on that every day!
WHAT’S THE BEST AND WORST ASPECT OF YOUR JOB?
The best aspect is being on set with an amazing group of people who become your family, even in a short time. The worst aspect is knowing that there is only one person for every role and sometimes, you can do your absolute best and it’s just not right!
WHAT OTHER PROJECTS ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
I just wrapped a feature film called MATCH STRUCK and was a small part of ESCAPING OHIO. There are a few projects on the books for Spring 2021 but it all depends on the health of the world.
WHAT’S HAPPINESS FOR LACEY?
Happiness for Lacey is my three dogs, time with my best friend Charley, make-up shopping at Sephora, and singing at the top of my lungs in my bedroom!
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE FROM YOU IN THE FUTURE?
Aside from a few projects that are in the works, I still dream of being on Broadway or in a musical movie or series. That is my absolute dream!
