After discovering his passion for photography, Jorge Duva dedicated his life to perfecting the craft. He spent countless hours tirelessly studying photography through school of graphic design, YouTube videos and books, and practicing different techniques, often gravitating toward aesthetics that mixed natural light with LEDs and strobes. He came up with concepts for editorials during his free time, never missing an opportunity to combine creativity with color as he dreamed up masterpieces then taught himself the skills to bring his ideas to life. Now, his work speaks for itself with an impressive portfolio of fashion magazine covers for major publications like Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, Elle, and Vogue.

1. What is new with Jorge Duva?
Nothing I try always to be the same, hard worker, passionate about my job, good husband and father, good friend.

2.  What inspired most of your shoots?
The beauty in women. The love for editorial photography.

3. What advice do you have for up and coming photographers?
Always to be humble. What makes me sad the most from this industry is some egos and behaviors from other artists. It is important to respect everyone’s work. There are so many different styles and everybody has a way to transmit their art. Always focus on yourself and the beauty in your work cause that is what belongs to you and be proud of your work.

4. How do you stay on top of your game?
Never stop creating. There is always room for improvement and continuity makes you better. Always be surrounded by talented and creative people but most importantly good-hearted people. It is the key for success in every aspect of your life.
