HI BAILEY! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS BAILEY SPINN IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I would describe myself as a creative artist using video storytelling to express myself, and different comedic scenarios I have actually found myself in IRL. I am 19 years old, originally from Centreville, Virginia, and I started creating my social media content in 2020. I love to bring new stories to life on my platform, while bringing smiles to millions of faces every single day. I’m an animal lover, with my beautiful cat Kiwi, and I try to inspire others to find the things they love, too. Whether it be with my cat, creating content, or anything else, there is never a dull moment in my life these days. I am also extremely passionate about mental health, and everyday I work to better myself and the lives of the people around me.
WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALIZE THAT YOU WANTED TO WORK IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
I knew I wanted to be some kind of influencer since the age of 14. I remember making YouTube videos and hoping that one day I would be noticed, like other girls on the platform. Looking back at those videos now is hilarious, but I honestly believe that I somehow manifested my own social media fame. I never dreamed of having any other job except doing something involving social media. I knew that one day I would be able to express myself and build a substantial following, it just took me a bit of time to figure out how to make my content uniquely ME. Believe it or not, TikTok is my first “job.” I’ve never worked doing anything else.
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR COMEDY? WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO JOKE ABOUT?
My mom is the person that inspired my comedic values the most. She is the most hilarious person I have ever met, and I must credit her for a lot of my jokes and my sense of humor. She never fails to put a smile on my face, even when she doesn’t try to be funny. I like to joke about basically everything, of course within reason. At times, I have even made fun of myself. I love joking around and creating everyday scenarios where my TikTok characters say the most outrageous things. The POVs don’t really have to follow reality, so I make the most out of what i can do, using a lot of creative license!
YOU ALWAYS TREND ON SOCIAL MEDIA. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE SO POPULAR?
I honestly still haven’t grasped how popular my videos truly are. I blew up very quickly over the summer, and it was a lot to take in at once. My TikTok account skyrocketed, and it still doesn’t feel real. Knowing that over 8 million people support me and what I do is the most incredible feeling. My fans are what keep me posting every day. I’m honored that I was somehow chosen by TikTok viewers and the platform’s algorithm to be their POV queen. It’s truly rewarding to see the content you produce being appreciated by so many people around the world, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL BRAND IN 3 WORDS.
Creative, bold, and funny!
WHAT DO YOU DO TO GROW YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?
I try to stay as authentic to myself as possible. People on the internet can be brutal at times, but knowing my own strengths helps me to grow my brand to new extents. I may be acting in my videos, but I always let parts of my personality shine through so that everyone can view how I really am. My personal brand is always expanding and reaching new limits as I branch out into new adventures I never could have imagined before.
WHAT BRANDS ARE YOU WORKING WITH NOWADAYS?
I’ve been working with brands such as Princess Polly, Curology, Aeropostale, Amie Skincare, Lids, FabFitFun, and others.
WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I actually have a huge passion for weight lifting! I don’t post about it much, but I workout basically every day and really enjoy body building. I’ve been working out heavily since the summer, but I never really post about it anywhere. Working out really brings me that uptick in dopamine and serotonin that I can’t get anywhere else. I love blasting music and doing some bicep curls to pass the time.
DO YOU HAVE ANY JOKES FOR US BEFORE YOU GO?
