Interview with MMA Fighter Zach Zane

HELLO ZACH! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS ZACH ZANE IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Zach Zane to me is a humble warrior that has been through the fire in and out of the cage.

HOW WERE YOU INTRODUCED TO MARTIAL ARTS?
I was born into martial arts. My grandfather is a kung fu master from Indonesia. He was half Chinese half Indonesian.

COULD YOU GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF AN MMA FIGHTER’S ROUTINE, INCLUDING DIET? DO YOU HAVE TO BE OF A CERTAIN FITNESS LEVEL TO CONSIDER TRAINING?
You have to be discipline. Like Mike Tyson said “you have to something you hate and do it like you love it”. My routine is a lot of Jiu Jitsu, running, swimming, pad work, and a clean diet. Hard work, discipline, and consistency is key.

WHEN DID YOU START TRAINING? DESCRIBE YOUR REGULAR TRAINING REGIME.
I started training when I was 4-5 years old. Stayed pretty active and athletic my whole life. In the mornings I usually run and do Jiu Jitsu, afternoons I work on stand up. Plus I’m a father of 2 so I got lots of daddy duties as well.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT TRAINING?
When I’m not training I’m definitely fishing, I love fishing. And just hanging out with my kids on my free time.

ANY FAVOURITE MOMENTS DURING TRAINING OR FIGHTING?
One of my favorite moments fighting is prolly my last 2 MMA fights. Getting the win in Bellator and my quick KO with my left hand.

WHAT’S YOUR NEXT BIG GOAL?
My next big goal is to keep getting KO’s and get signed by the UFC.
