Interview With Concert Pianist Klaudia Kudelko

Klaudia Kudelko is a concert pianist based in Hollywood, California. Winner of many international piano competitions, Klaudia has graced the most distinguished stages in Europe and North America.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?
People, art and nature. There is nothing more inspiring to me than people, who have something interesting to say about the world we live in, their life philosophy and aspirations. Art is people who create it, so what moves me the most is authenticity. I love ballet, cinema, theatre and definitely other genres of music. From classical music to hip-hop.

SINCE MOVING TO LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, HOW HAS YOUR CAREER CHANGED?
I decided to take a risk and relocate to Los Angeles in 2019. I could not be happier about my decision. It’s a place of great opportunities and creative people. I think it has been great so far. I absolutely love the audience in LA, people always gave me good energy at my shows. That’s truly motivating.

YOUR RECITALS IN 2020 IN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL. WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO PERFORM IN 2021?
I am very excited about my 2021 calendar. For now, I can only reveal few of the cities, but I will perform in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, San Diego, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle and many more. I am also very excited to perform in Europe again. The situation is difficult now, but let’s not forget about the culture. I hope next year we will be able to enjoy concerts and all the events the way we want to.

DO YOU PLAN ON RELEASING AN ALBUM?
Good question. Yes! I am working on a project right now, it is going to consist works of Schubert, Chopin and Bacewicz. Two of the three composers – Chopin and Bacewicz were Polish, where I am from, and Schubert is one of the most genius composers of all time. I am looking forward to sharing this project with you.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO YOUNG MUSICIANS?
First of all, never give up. It is not an easy journey, but it is worth it. Work hard, listen to your intuition and be yourself. Doing what you love is the most rewarding and beautiful thing that can happen to you.
