Hi CATHERINE! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS CATHERINE CHLOE OLIVIA IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I’m a 14-year-old Canadian/ Taiwanese girl who LOVES to explore the world and sharing Positive and Happy vibes with everyone, with my family my friends my supporter and everyone in the world I want everyone to feel happy around me or on my page or from my music this is always been my goal as to be a successful influencer, I know I want to do this since the age of 4,and I do it by writing music、sharing my story on social medias、and connecting with everyone.
In my words, I know I am a hard working person,who always want to make things right and always try my best to do it, just to follow my dream and make people happy, and I know I will never give up, just like my song I’ll never let it go, and I’ll always believing in myself,this is what I always told myself,and not I want to show everyone in the world the same thing.
WHEN AND HOW DID YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED TO DO THIS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
I know I want to be an influencer who can make a song a post or a video that can make everyone’s day better or make people laugh at the age of 4 which is the first time I went to watch a musical performance, and at that moment I feel happy I feel joy the whole show just make me happy, and at that moment, I told my mom I want to be just like them, I want to be on stage be a shining star and make people happy and I will be happy! Since then, i start the whole training like dancing vocal lessons etc… at the age of 8, I got my first musical roll, I’m the lead in The Little Mermaid, I still remember that time I was on stage, it feel so different from real life, it make me feel like a whole new world like my own world I can act I can sing I can do whatever want on stage, I feel happy and different and that’s the moment I know, I want this, I want to be a star I want to be a influencer, and it always been my dream since then,until now, I’ve world really hard on my dream and I still believe this will always be my dream and I know I love it,and I know want to do it rest of my life.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC STYLE?
I think for now, my music has always been chilling vibes and happy party vibes more, but I REALLY LOVE all kind of music like rap、sad guitar…etc… So I was planning to do some rap song also try more type of the style like Bad guy vibe song and hope to release them soon.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR ARTISTIC INSPIRATION?
I think is… I listen to SO MANY DIFFERENT ARTISTS, listen to music is just like breathing to me I always listening to new music, and I found lots of inspiration there.
WHAT WAS THE ONE SONG OR ALBUM THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Oh! this is a good one!!! Selena Gomez’s album RARE change me!!! That album is INCREDIBLE and it’s just like a story, and it’s talking about self-care self-love I just love that album and it makes me to think more about MYSELF and found myself I love Selena so much.
WHAT’S SUCCESS FOR YOU?
For me, is to achieve my goal, which is be a influencer who can make great video great post and great song great vibe for me supporter, for me, success influencer is to make people happy, I want people and feel happy and feel themselves around my post and song.
WHEN WILL YOU FEEL THAT YOU’VE FINALLY MADE IT?
When I see people smile, there’s one time there’s a supporter dm me and say they have a bad day but when she hear my song she feel happy and I started to chat with her and she said she feeling much better after talk to me. I feel so happy when I know I make people happy and cheer them up, when people tell me they were happy because of me, or when I saw the sweet comments, I will know I made it.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO ON YOUR FREE TIME?
For my free time I always love to spend my time with my family and friends, like FaceTime them and just talk for an hour sometimes I will watch some show or movie. And I will look through my comments and try to reply to all the sweet comments and dm, I love to connect with my supporter they made me who I am.
I also love to write songs if I have inspiration.
Oh and of course I do my schoolworks on my free time！
DO YOUR FAMILY SUPPORT YOU?
Yes! My family 100%support me for doing social medias and music! Once I told them this is what I love, I love performing I love singing since 4, they started to find me the lessons and opportunities, they fully support me with my choice as long as I love it. This is also the reason how I become who I am right now, I love my family so much, they means the world to me, and they always been there for me, they always be my biggest supporter.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE UPCOMING SONG OF YOU – I’M GONNA?
My new song I’m Gonna will release on July,1st the reason why I pic that date is because it’s the begin of summer, which mean my song is a whole summer chilling vibe, and still is talking about dream, catch your dream do what you love and be confident for yourself and try your best.
WHAT IS THE ONE WORD THAT KEEP YOU GOING?
“Believe” this is the world I always keep in mind and told myself, whenever I feeling down or feeling wrong or scared, I told myself to believe in me, believe the opportunity, if I didn’t make it this time,I just need to “believe ”in the next time,and this word always cheer me up and keep me going. It’s pretty inspiring tho, depend on the way you think of it.
BESIDES MAKING MUSIC, WHAT ELES DO YOU ENJOY TO DO?
I LOVE dancing !!! I started dancing since 6 and hip hop has always been my fav,I also do ballet and other style! For me dancing is a great wat to express my feelings besides songwriting and singing. I also love to taking photos lol
WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL AND WHY?
Ahh there’s SO MANY! Like Indiana Messara Kira Kosarin Olivia Rodrigo Brent Rivera and more… the reasons why is brcase they all being the best of themselves and doesn’t change the way the act because of others, and they always be so confident of who they are and they making amazing music and video for people and always cheer people up, this is what I want to do, so they are my role model.
ANY PLANS FOR FUTURE?
