The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched today its campaign for the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023, titled “It Takes One Day”, featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
The ‘Pathaan’ actor has been appointed as the ambassador for the tournament, Yesterday, the official page of ICC shared a picture of the superstar with the ODI World Cup Trophy. “King Khan #CWC23 Trophy…. It’s nearly here,” the ICC captioned the post.
The promotional video named ‘It Takes One Day’, which was shared on social media, displayed the passion and excitement of cricket fans across the world. The campaign highlights the hard work, passion, emotions and dedication given by the teams.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is known for his love for cricket, has given his voice to the campaign video, and it seems he is the perfect choice for the campaign. The actor is also a co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
The tournament will start on October 5 in Ahmedabad where the current champions England take on New Zealand. However, the most-awaited clash between rivals India and Pakistan will be played on the 15th of October.
