HBO Max’s ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot Adds Travis Bryant to Cast

HBO Max’s Gossip Girl has quickly become this summer’s most highly anticipated series. With orignal castmember Kristen Bell returning as the show’s narrator as well as the voice of Gossip Girl and stars like Emily Alyn Lind, Thomas Doherty, and Evan Mock, the reboot of the 2000s fan favorite drama adds Disney’s Travis Bryant.

Bryant’s known for his roles on Disney Junior’s Sofia the First and the network’s Freeform series The Fosters. His other credits include CW’s Legacies, YouTube RED’s Weird City, and the Fox Searchlight film Breakthrough. This show marks Bryant’s first return to the small screen after appearing as Crayola’s ‘Colors of the World’ celebrity spokesperson. He is repped by The Create Agency and Discover Management.

The new Gossip Girl follows a different set of characters than the 2007-12 CW series but is set in the same world of wealth and privilege on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Like the original series, the new iteration of Gossip Girl, written by Safran, is based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Eight Years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself–has changed in the intervening years.

The Gossip Girl cast also includes Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith.

The show will premiere next month on the HBO Max streaming service.
