What’s up everyone! My name is Halle Kearns and I’m an artist out of Nashville, TN, but I’m originally from Columbia, MO. I’m just a girl from the Midwest that completely fell in love with the creation process behind making music! After I graduated high school, I set down the path of pursuing it full-time. It’s been a dream come true!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MUSICAL STYLE? HAS YOUR STYLE CHANGED MUCH OVER THE YEARS?
I would say easy-listening country/pop! YES, my style has changed tremendously as I’ve gotten older. I used to sing super traditional country.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR ARTISTIC INSPIRATION?
I truly believe you can find inspiration in everything. I pull from real life experiences when writing, however.
WHAT PEOPLE HAVE INFLUENCED YOUR CAREER?
My family, friends, pretty much every person I’ve come into contact with since living in Nashville too haha. It would take me all day to write their names out, but I am extremely grateful for the people I have around me.
WHAT’S YOUR PROCESS LIKE FOR MAKING MUSIC?
It’s different every time, but I always like to begin a write with a really strong hook/concept and write around that!
WHAT DO YOU DO TO GROW YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?
I invest a lot of time and energy into things I love. I think one of the best lessons I learned when I began branding myself is to stick with what I love and is true to me. You’ll always be chasing the wind if you try to fit into a box that isn’t “you”, so listening to that voice inside and making choices based on what it’s telling you. I believe that will lead to the most authentic, buildable brand.
WHAT IS THAT ONE THING THAT YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR MIND WHILE PREPARING YOUR CONTENT FOR SOCIAL MEDIA?
I LOVE the visual aspect of what I get to do, so I like to ask myself “is this something I would like to see as a consumer?”
WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO A BUDDING ARTIST?
I would give them the best advice that was given to me – Get out of your own way! You are the only thing in the way of your own success 🙂
