From documentaries in Mexico to Narrative Features Films in Los Angeles – Eunicet Pamela “Director of Photography”

HI EUNICET! TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, YOUR CAREER AND YOUR LIFE AS A DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY?
Since I was a kid I always loved the visual part of everything, watching movies, photographs, and art venues. I didn’t know I was going to be a Cinematographer but I always knew the visual path was going to be a life choice.

Since then I had a camera by my shoulder and tried to understand my aesthetic and how I could create images that I loved. And that’s how I started as a photographer, I worked with different companies, festivals and brands that led me to develop my portfolio.

After that I worked for a company for 4 years and did 3 documentaries, I was involved in every aspect of the Production and really got in-depth in the Cinematography that’s why I decided to move to Los Angeles to focus on that craft.

Since I moved here I’ve made several shortfilms, commercials and music videos that had led my work to screen in different Film Festivals like South Texas International Film Festival, Burbank International Film Festival, Los Angeles Cinematography Awards (LACA), Seattle Film Festival 2021, BELIFF – Be Epic! Film Fest London and more.

TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR DAILY WORK AS CINEMATOGRAPHER AND YOUR MOST PROMINENT WORKS?
I’m always collaborating with different Directors, so all the time I’m prepping for the next project. Currently I’m on the talks for another feature film and tv series. Being a Cinematographer allowed me to be in different projects at the same time.

But also as an artist I always try to keep myself updated in the industry, learn about cameras, lighting and new techniques that help me do my job better.

One of my major jobs this past month was wrapping my first feature film ̈Sugar Beach ̈, it’s an amazing story written by Zoe Manzotti and Directed by Noely Mendoza. We started shooting last year and finished some pick ups this year. We hope to be in Digital Streaming Platforms in some months.

Shooting that project was very challenging because we had to adhere to COVID protocols without compromising the story, we were able to do it by extending the shooting dates and we are more than happy that we finished the project.

Currently we are in the editing process and I will supervise the Color Correction as well.
