HI, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS FABI AGUIRRE IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Hello, everybody! My name is Fabi Aguirre, and I am 17 years old. I love singing, acting, and dancing, and I am a proud Latina! I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, grew up in Miami, Florida, but my family is Ecuadorian. During my free time, I love to bake, do yoga, and exercise.

HOW AND WHEN EXACTLY DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD A PASSION FOR SINGING, DANCING & ACTING?
I have been signing ever since I came out of the womb! However, I realized I had a passion for singing, acting, and dancing when I saw videos of Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo performing the “Phantom of the Opera” on YouTube, and when I saw “Annie” on Broadway at seven years old.

HOW IMPORTANT IS DEVELOPING A PERSONAL STYLE WHEN IT COMES TO ACTING?
It is very important to develop a personal style when it comes to acting because I believe it is important to be unique, and stand out. Developing a personal style when it comes to acting can also help strengthen the process of becoming a character, as you prepare for a role.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR INITIAL IMPRESSIONS OF LANE AND THE “SNOW DAY” SCRIPT?
When I read Lane’s character description for the audition, I instantly fell in love with her. However, I didn’t know this was a remake. When I got my first callback for the role, that was when I had realized it was being reimagined as a musical, and when I read the script, I knew I was so excited to be a part of this incredible film. After I found out I would get the honor to play such a beloved character, I watched the original “Snow Day” once to get a feel of Schuyler Fisk’s version of Lane, and made sure to keep her heart, and essence, that made people love her so much, while bringing my own sort of flare and personality for this new generation.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST, SINGING, DANCING OR ACTING?
I could never choose just one. Luckily for me, this film had all of them!

HOW HAS YOUR THEATRE EXPERIENCE HELPED YOU PREPARE TO PLAY LANE IN SNOW DAY AND SING THOSE AMAZING SONGS?
My theatre experience definitely helped me prepare for Lane in the musical reimagining because it taught me to express myself, and my character, through singing, and dancing. It helped me dive deeper, and really study Lane, and as to why she is singing what she is saying, by trying to get her point across

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FEATURED ROLE IN “MOZART IN THE JUNGLE.”
For “Mozart In The Jungle”, I actually got to work with one of my favorite actors ever, Gael Garcia Bernal! He was very, very sweet, and down to earth. I remember I got a call from my agent, and said I had to be on set within 2 days to shoot the scene, and I remember having such a fun time, especially since the scene was hilarious!

WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
Something you guys should know about me that might surprise you is that I have never, EVER, seen Harry Potter. I know. I am truly sorry.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS/ROLES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
As of right now, I am currently working on graduating school early, and auditioning. I would also love to release original music in the upcoming year!

WHAT IS ONE MESSAGE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUR FANS?
If I could give one message to everyone out there, is please, please, please, don’t EVER give up. Every time a door closes on you, remember there will always be another one open. Don’t forget to do what makes you happy, and always stay humble, no matter how big your success might be!
