Food You Love: That Loves You Back Cookbook Author Rorie Weisberg Shares Entrepreneurial Insights

Rorie Weisberg, CHC, is the author of the highly anticipated new cookbook, Food You Love: That Loves You Back. This book features over 200 recipes that are kosher and made with wholesome, easy-to-find ingredients — many of the recipes are also gluten-free! Since 2015, Rorie has been showing the kosher community how doable and delicious it is to enjoy the foods we love with ingredients that love us back. Certified in integrative nutrition, Rorie is the CEO of Full ‘N Free, LLC, an exclusive line of better-for-you baking essentials.

ABOUT INSIDER recently had the opportunity to catch up with Rorie. She was happy to share insight on her entrepreneurial journey and more.

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST THING YOU STRUGGLE WITH AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
Aside from balancing my work, family, and personal life, I would say letting myself take time off. G-d blessed me with a lot of creativity and my brain is always going. I’m always onto the next project, so I need to learn to take more breaks without checking in on emails and sneaking into a Zoom meeting.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU ENJOY MORE THAN BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR?
Being a wife and mother. My husband and my kids are my life — they put the ‘full’ in ‘full ‘n free’!

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONE THING, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE THE BEST IN THE WORLD AT?
I would say I’m very intuitive to people. I don’t believe in a ‘1 size fits all’ approach and I have a way of knowing how to meet a person where they are.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE SUCCESS AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
When I get feedback from customers about how my products and recipes have changed their lives. To be successful is more about making a real impact in people’s lives, and I’m proud and grateful for the opportunity to do that.

STRESS HAS BECOME AN INEVITABLE PART OF OUR LIVES, WHAT DO YOU DO TO DE-STRESS YOURSELF? OR WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I work very hard to manage stress. I practice prayer and meditation daily. I try to move my body every day. On days that I’m tired, I stick to gentle yoga and really respect where my body is. I go for acupuncture a few times a month, but massage is my personal favorite. There is an incredible private spa called Sylk near my home — I try to go every Friday for a massage and to relax in the sauna to unwind. It’s truly a gift to myself.
