Having worked in the film industry for 17 years and known for roles in popular Chinese TV series like “Eternal Love,” The Pillow Book,” “Scarlet Heart;” and the movie “Mulan” (2009), Yuxin “Yoyo” Liu is both a beloved celebrity in her home country of China and an internationally renowned actor and film producer.
This year will see the launch of her Web3 platform, FOOTAGE, which is geared towards supporting, promoting, and elevating the independent film industry. It will do this by offering access to career-based mentorship and financial resources for its project. It is also developing the incorporation of Non-Fungible Tokens and Cryptocurrency, which will further promote new ways of engaging with the audience and pursuing new avenues for selling and distributing their productions.
One of Yoyo’s most notable creations was the documentary film, “Wuhan! Wuhan,” which explores the lives of five people caught up in that city’s Covid-19 lockdown of 2020. A film applauded by critics and casual viewers and which received multiple film awards.
