Lilian Tahmasian was born in Sydney, Australia and seemingly has always had a passion for creative industries, like fashion, marketing and even performing arts. She was a dancer and performer for twenty-three years in Australia, competing and performing in Australia, Armenia and Los Angeles. It was 2009 when she set her sights on becoming a content creator and a few short years later, in 2014 she was fortunate enough to make it a full-time job. Since then Lilian has appeared in multiple magazines including Cosmopolitan and Australia’s very own Girlfriend, she’s been a public speaker at Western Sydney, USC and FIDM, has grown her youtube channel to 8M+ views, moved to Los Angeles and managed to sustain and grow her following all while maintaining her laidback and friendly Aussie personality!
HEY LILIAN, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Hi Insider, thank you for having me! My friends and family would say I have too much energy at times, but I like to think I’m just an energetic person who loves to motivate and help inspire others. I’m an Aussie who moved to LA a few years ago. I love working to be honest, I love to continue to build my brand and spend time with family and friends! If I’m not doing that, I love to workout or dance!

Positive, authentic and hopefully inspirational
AS A DANCER AND PERFORMER FOR MOST OF YOUR LIFE, TELL US HOW THAT EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING CARRIED OVER INTO THE CONTENT CREATOR AND INFLUENCER LIFESTYLE. WE’RE ALL AWARE HOW REGIMENTED AND DEDICATED DANCERS HAVE TO BE TO THEIR CRAFT, DO YOU THINK THAT MINDSET ASSISTED YOU?
Dancing for over 23 years taught me so much. One, I think the ability to practice until I perfect things and two, the ability to never give up and stay on track. I love creating a schedule and I’m all about a great routine. So that definitely has assisted me in my day to day, as an influencer and agency owner
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER INFLUENCERS AND DIGITAL CONTENT CREATORS WHO WANT TO MAKE IT THEIR FULL-TIME JOB?
I’ve always been taught to do something that you truly are passionate about and you love, that way as hard as it is, you genuinely wont give up. Also figure out your passion and what you love and find a way to make that your full time role in life. I would say, stay focused, keep like-minded people around you, always be yourself and truly never give up. It’s all worth it
WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I mean I don’t know if you NEED to know, but I’m obsessed with eating popcorn and jalapenos… is that weird? Haha
WHAT DO YOU SAY TO PEOPLE WHO THINK BEING AN INFLUENCER ISN’T A REAL JOB?
You can never assume how easy or hard something is, until you do it yourself. I’ve had so many friends or family make comments on how they wish they were doing what I’m doing and when they see it at first hand, or they try to do something themselves, every single time they come back and say I had no idea how hard it was, or had no idea how much time and effort it takes. They always end up saying “wow you make it look so easy”. I guess it takes someone to try something to genuinely know the time and effort that goes into it.
WHAT MISCONCEPTIONS ARE THERE TO BEING A DIGITAL CREATOR/INFLUENCER?
That it’s easy, but people only see the glam side of things or the events. It truly is a 24/7 job and you have to love what you do, to be able to commit to it.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND WHEN CREATING YOUR CONTENT?
I always ask myself how much I love the product I’m promoting and if I found it to be beneficial, because if I do, then I’ll work with the brand. We decline more collaborations and campaigns, than we accept them and I think it’s always important to stay authentic to your personal brand and vision.
ANY LAST WORDS?
I always say dreams come to those who have the power to give them life, so if you have a vision or goal, chase it and truly don’t give up. It’s all worth it and its come to you for a reason 🙂
