Election Results Updates: BJP set for a big victory in Gujarat, Congress to win in Himachal Pradesh

As the early trends in all 182 seats of the Gujarat Assembly come in, the 27-year-ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is heading over an all-time high record of 149 seats. Congress, on the other hand, is facing its worst defeat ever as they are leading over just 20 seats. Aam Aadmi Party, which has made the elections interesting by making it a three-way election, is leading over hardly 6 seats.

The Gujarat BJP President CR Patil says to the media that “the credit of our success goes to PM Narendra Modi. People of Gujarat love him and always reposed faith in his leadership”. He also adds that Union Home Minister Amit Shah supervised the campaign and motivated the party workers.

However, in Himachal Pradesh, it seems the people of the state chose to give a majority to the Congress party as they are leading on 40 seats out of 68. On the other hand, BJP is leading over 25 seats which it seems would leave no chance for the party to win the state.

The AAP party seems would not be able to get even 1 seat in the state. The early trends were showing a neck-to-neck fight between Congress and the BJP, but it slowly moved in the favour of the former. It seems like good news for the Congress party after a long time.
