DeMarcus Bumpers is a Houston,TX native born and raised in Clear Lake in a very prosperous family to Dr. Dedrie Bumpers-Francis and Lee Bumpers two very successful entrepreneurs that have own and operated multiple thriving businesses in Houston.
Bumpers graduated from Prairie View A&M University and worked in the oil field making a six figure income. one day he gave up his oil field career and packed his bags moving to Hollywood to pursue acting professionally full time. Bumpers started in the entertainment industry by booking work on tv commercials and went on to secure upcoming roles such as, “Streaming Sarah” based on New York Times best seller by Joyce Kostakis and Tiffany Sturdivant attached as Director on the production. Also, The Devil Comes Dressed For Church Too” “Smoke and Mirrors” “Get Out Of My Dreams” Directed By Tiffany Sturdivant. Mr. Bumpers recently booked role on popular franchise film “Friday The 13th” Fan Film with Jeff May and Chris Todd Durbin.
Bumpers’ success in the acting industry can be attributed to his family Lydia Harris and Michael Harry O Harris, founders of Death Row Records. Lydia Harris gave DeMarcus the tools he needed to navigate Hollywood and started his acting career.
Lydia Harris is no stranger to the entertainment industry. She has worked with some of the biggest names in music and entertainment, including 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre. Harris recognized Bumpers’ talent and helped him navigate the complexities of Hollywood.

Bumpers is cousin to film director Justin Simien, and cousin to New York Giants NFL football player Darius Slayton and cousin removed to international grammy award winning songstress Beyoncé Knowles.
Bumpers is set to star with Alexis Baca in the television series “The Beginning Of The End” where he will play an assassin alongside Makaela Bryant, where Joshua Szichos is also in the cast. DeMarcusBumpers recently starred in the film “Rise,” where he played the leading male actor alongside Bryant. The Film scheduled to be release in August 2023 on Plex, Amazon Prime, Sling, and more platforms at later dates.
