HI, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS CESAR D’ LA TORRE IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
I am a passionate artist,  Enjoy life is something that really matters to me and pursuing all the things that I love is fundamental in my life to be a happy person and be compassionate with others, I do everything in life that makes me happy.

YOUR CAREER SPANS ACROSS BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRIES, SHOWCASING YOUR VERSATILITY AS AN ACTOR. HOW DO YOU NAVIGATE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE MARKETS, AND DO YOU FIND YOURSELF DRAWN TO PARTICULAR TYPES OF ROLES IN EACH?
Yeah, the two markets are completely different for me, in the English market I all the time play different characters like the Latin guy, the Italian Guy, The bad guy, the blue-collar Latin guy, or the white-collar Latin guy, but the markets are completely different when I work in films in the American market so everything all the movement is minimal, emotions very internal, when I work in the Latin market, the movement body language is bigger, it also depends on the project.

“ANGRY NEIGHBORS”, “IMMORTALITY”, “MUNA”, AND “BLACK EASTER” ARE JUST A FEW OF THE DIVERSE PROJECTS YOU’VE BEEN INVOLVED IN. WHAT ATTRACTS YOU TO A SCRIPT OR CHARACTER, AND HOW DO YOU APPROACH PREPARING FOR SUCH VARIED ROLES?
Angry Neighbors I loved my character from the beginning because it was a Latin character, a construction worker who brought the Latin culture and that for me was valuable.  What I loved about Angry Neighbors was that it was a comedy and I am in love with comedy projects, and working with Cheech Marin, and so many great actors like Frank Langella,  Stockard Channing, Bobby Cannavale it was amazing, I was really grateful because for me to Work in a comedy with those great actors was a big learning in my career, Immortality was a great script and a great crew that I worked with, I played and Italian Character, immortality was a video game that won some awards but that character for me It was also very inspiring because I was playing an Italian character role, in Muna. Also, I was playing an Italian mafia man, and black Easter was the opposite I was playing a nerd scientist, all of the movies are completely different, and what attracted me to the script for each of them is that they have something unique for example, I love the comedy with a dog in Angry neighbors, immortality I love the film story in a video game, I have never seen a full film inside a video game, and my role in Muna I love that the story was about human trafficking it was a story that needed be told because people have to get conscious about what’s happening in the world to be able to stop this kind of horrible things happening, and black Easter it was about Christianity it was about religion and traveling back in time which is also a good unique story, yeah so I enjoy every movie I have done.

MARTIAL ARTS SEEMS TO BE A SIGNIFICANT ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE, WITH A BLACK BELT IN KARATE AND NUMEROUS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS UNDER YOUR BELT. HOW HAS YOUR MARTIAL ARTS BACKGROUND INFLUENCED YOUR APPROACH TO ACTING, ESPECIALLY IN ACTION-PACKED ROLES LIKE THOSE IN “MUNA” AND “BLACK EASTER”?
Martial Arts influenced me in my career because since I was a child I have been watching Martial Arts movies and I said to myself I wanna do action films, so I co-wrote an action film that I’m gonna start producing soon, I’m really happy about it because this film has a lot of fighting, it is a drama action film with an amazing story. Also, my martial arts background helped me to book that role in Muna.

“LEVERAGE REDEMPTION” AND “GROUND FLOOR” ARE AMONG THE AMERICAN PRODUCTIONS YOU’VE BEEN A PART OF. WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST REWARDING ASPECT OF WORKING IN THE AMERICAN ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY, AND HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED ANY UNIQUE CHALLENGES ALONG THE WAY?
Working in the American industry it’s always been so fulfilling, full of learning, and talking about challenges you always going to find challenges in every industry and for me in the American market the most challenges I have to deal with is accent reduction, in this career you have to be persistent to have opportunities, it has been very rewarding to work in the American industry, I like that everything is so well done, Everything is by the book, I like they are organized, in the Latin market they are sometimes a little bit disorganized but I also like to work in the Latin market.

IN ADDITION TO ACTING, YOU CO-DIRECTED, WROTE, AND ACTED IN THE SHORT FILM “THE FLORIST,” WHICH RECEIVED NOMINATIONS AT THE BURBANK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WEARING MULTIPLE HATS IN FILMMAKING, AND DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS TO EXPLORE DIRECTING FURTHER IN THE FUTURE?
Yeah, I co-directed and act in the short film the florist and it was a great experience, this film won an award at the Burbank International Festival.  I’d like to keep directing in the future but I’m more focus right now in acting.

YOUR PERFORMANCES IN VENEZUELAN TV SERIES LIKE “LA VIDA ENTERA” AND “QUE CLASE DE AMOR” GARNERED WIDESPREAD RECOGNITION ACROSS LATIN AMERICA. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE SUCH A BROAD AUDIENCE, AND DO YOU FEEL A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY IN REPRESENTING YOUR CULTURE THROUGH YOUR WORK?
Yeah, I always represent my culture in every work I do because most of the roles I play are Latin or Italian roles, so i bring my culture everywhere I go and in every work, I do and I don’t want to lose that because my culture is something that I’m really proud of.

“HEAVY DUTY LOVERS” AND “DTLA” SHOWCASE YOUR TALENTS IN ROMANTIC COMEDY AND SITCOMS. ARE THERE ANY OTHER GENRES OR TYPES OF ROLES YOU’RE EAGER TO EXPLORE IN THE FUTURE?
I would like to explore and learn from any genre because I like to learn from each one of them, I love all genres, if a new kind of genre come to my door like horror films that I have never done, I probably do it because I like to explore new genres and learn from every work I do.

TRANSITIONING FROM MARACAIBO, VENEZUELA, TO LOS ANGELES MUST HAVE COME WITH ITS OWN SET OF CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES. HOW HAS YOUR BACKGROUND SHAPED YOUR JOURNEY IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY, AND WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ASPIRING ACTORS LOOKING TO FOLLOW A SIMILAR PATH?
Yeah, coming from Venezuela in my late 20’s it was challenging, coming to the US specially to Los Angeles where you find so much competition, my advice to every actor that want to come to the US and try the American market is that they have come prepared. They gotta be persistent and try it you never know, and most important work hard, don’t give up on your dreams.

WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
I am introverted in real life but no when I play characters.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS/ROLES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
Yeah, my upcoming project is a movie that I co-wrote and I’m gonna start producing soon, it is called The last chance, it is an action drama movie that includes martial arts.

WHAT IS ONE MESSAGE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUR FANS?
The message that I would like to give to my fans is thank you for being there to support my career. I know sometimes we’re busy and we don’t have time to communicate more directly but I just wanna let you know that I love you guys for supporting me, and all of those that had supported me from the beginning of my career, thank you for being there because your support means the world to me, we are accomplishing dreams together :).
