Interview: Brendan Cox, Author Of ‘365 Days of Social Posts For Real Estate Agents’

Meet Brendan Cox, an entrepreneur turned author who has spent the past 5 years building businesses and along with helping entrepreneurs build a digital footprint on social media. Cox recently launched his new book: ‘365 Days of Social Posts For Real Estate Agents’ and we wanted to dive deeper into his story and why he wrote this book. 

What inspired you to write this book?

From a business and entrepreneurial standpoint, social media has always had a special place in my heart. Since the very beginning of starting my agency, I’ve always seen the value in leveraging it as a tool to promote one’s business and build a deeper connection with potential clients. I ultimately decided to write ‘365 Days of Social Posts For Real Estate Agents’ because I saw the need for it. I work alongside numerous businesses, influencers and realtors and I noticed the struggle for searching for content ideas especially in the real estate industry. What should I post? Do I just post houses? How often should I post?… are questions I get on a weekly basis and I think this book is an extremely valuable tool for agents.

Why do you think that social media is important for real estate agents?

It’s not just important but it’s becoming critical. If I was looking for a real estate agent and they lacked a strong online presence I would be iffy about using them compared to someone who has a strong and engaging following. Think of social media as a search engine. In today’s world instead of looking in a newspaper, lots of people go straight to Facebook and search “real estate agents near me” or ask in a Facebook group for recommendations for someone to help with the home buying process. In order to even be in the running for those recommendations or clicks you need to have a digital presence.
