After asking ‘Who is Shahrukh Khan’, Assam CM Hemant Biswa calls him today ‘Shri Shahrukh Khan’

On Saturday, Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa said, “Who is Shahrukh Khan? I don’t know anything about him or his film Pathaan.” However, today, the CM tweeted that “Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film. I assured him that it’s duty of state govt to maintain law & order. We’ll enquire and ensure no such untoward incidents”.

The Assam Chief Minister said yesterday that many Bollywood stars reach out to him before the release of their films in case there are protests but Shahrukh Khan did not call him. “Khan has not called me, though many from Bollywood do so, regarding the problem. But if he does, I will look into the matter. Action will be taken if law and order have been violated and a case has been filed,” the CM added.

On the other hand, CM Hemant Biswa tweeted and said that he assured the actor that the state government has to maintain law and order and ensured him that no such unpleasant incident would take place. In the tweet, the CM also said that the superstar called him at 2 am. Shahrukh’s Pathaan is to be released on the 25th of January, and the film earlier had to face controversy for the song ‘Besharam Rang’, in which the actress Deepika Padukone was seen wearing an orange colour bikini.
