Adil C Is Going Viral With His Pop Hit ‘I Promise’ Starring Trinity Rose

Welcome to ABOUT INSIDER! Adil C & Trinity Rose have officially released ‘I Promise’ as of February 22nd and the sound is trending! We got to exclusively interview the two talents and have been able to bring it here for you. First we’d like to welcome Trinity Rose!

Trinity Rose is an award-winning singer/songwriter from Los Angeles. In 2021, Trinity Rose received the coveted Golden Ticket from ABC’s American Idol out of the 100,000+ artists who auditioned for it. Trinity has reached well over millions of people with her music, as well as her sky rocketed single with Aidan Gallagher, ‘Miss You’. And now, ‘I Promise’ with Adil C.

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO SING?
I was always singing around the house, usually singing along with my dad whenever he would play Beatles or Nirvana songs on the guitar! From there, I had a series of lovely music teachers that taught me to improve and expand my voice in different ways.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST MUSIC TEACHER LIKE?
My first teacher was Carolee, which I met at about 7 or 8 years old on a local beach near my house at the time. She was the raw definition of a hippie, a lady who never seemed to have left the 60s, and brought her cats with her to the beach. She was incredibly loving and taught me my first warmups and showed me many musicals and folk songs for the first time. I’m very lucky to have learned from her.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF ‘I PROMISE’ WITH ADIL C? SONG OR CREATIVE PROCESS WISE.
Maybe I’m biased, but I absolutely love the bridge I got to sing. Adil wrote it so perfectly, and it’s a fantastic buildup to the final chorus of us singing together. Also, we had the best time recording the music video together 🙂

WHAT IS THE MOST RANDOM TALENT YOU HAVE?
Probably reading tarot! After putting so much time into it, I’ve found that people are genuinely freaked about what I know just through reading my cards. I’m just as shocked, so if you want a spooky reading hit me up haha !

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?
Be able to have many different “hats”, which essentially means try and develop as many skills as possible in the industry. You may be a good singer, but being able to understand lead sheets, write compositions, produce and be proficient in social media can give you that leg up that other people don’t have. Be able to wear those hats whenever, and comfortably.

IF TAYLOR SWIFT CALLED YOU ON THE PHONE RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
First of all, I wouldn’t believe it. But if I was certain that it was her, I would ask her how she developed her writing so well, and if there are any steps I can take to keep improving. She’s the ultimate songwriter of our generation, and I would absolutely take the chance to talk to her about it.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF MUSIC?
I like having a million hobbies at once, like knitting, sewing, astrology, tarot and more. I’m always trying to learn as much as I can, and experience the world in as many ways as possible.

We had the pleasure to speak with Adil C as well! Adil C talks about ‘I Promise’, working with Trinity Rose, and more.
Adil C is a Canadian singer from Toronto, ON who’s been writing music since he was a kid and went into pop singing when he heard “Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake & Justin Bieber. Adil C has hit over 15 million streams/listens through all social media platforms and has been recognized by notorieties such as Addison Rae, HUDDY, Marc D’Amelio, Scooter Braun, and many more.

HI! THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH US! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS ADIL C IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Thank you for bringing me on! I’m a Canadian Singer born in Montréal, Quebec, who grew up in Toronto, ON. I believe that sound has energetic power, kind of like how words have power. It can make you feel things. Growing up I played multiple instruments, but was always called to being a vocalist. Vocal tastes from Justin Bieber and Kellin Quinn became a style that fans recognized in my voice.

HOW AND WHEN EXACTLY DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD A PASSION FOR SINGING?
I got into music at the age of 8. Guitar and drums were my favourite for a while until I turned about 14-15. I thought it was incredible what a frontman/vocalist could do through a mic in a studio and at a performance. I always loved talking, I’m pretty chatty. Not sure why. So, I thought a mic would be a great way to vent that energy. Damn was I right.

ARE YOU FROM A MUSICAL OR ARTISTIC FAMILY?
Not really. My parents never were into the arts or creative. But my siblings picked it up somehow. My oldest sister Waliya is incredible at drawings/paintings, my brother Asad is remarkably talented in the film/tv industry and has actually helped compose almost all of my music videos. Lastly my 2nd older sister, Jiya. She’s talented on multiple levels. Fashion, style, wardrobe, interior & real estate design, humour. Clearly, if you think I look good it’s probably because of her tips, guidance and fashion rules. She’s also really fun to hang with. Who knows, maybe my ancestors had it in them.

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE NEW SONG “I PROMISE”! WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
The song was first a demo that I wrote from some vocals I was singing in Erin Mills Town Centre mall and saved onto my voice memos. It just wasn’t coming out the way I wanted it to in the studio so it was scrapped. I met Trinity in 2019 and I love her singing! We also vibe so well as friends, so I thought hey, we should write something together. I had an idea. I re-opened the demo of ‘I Promise’ and sent it to Trinity to see if she could sing some cool lines to it. As soon as she sent me back the recorded vocals, I was blown away. All these new ideas started to pop up in my mind, and from that point ‘I Promise’ was back to life and was put back in the creative stage in the studio.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO CALL YOUR TRACK “I PROMISE”? WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND IT?
The song is called ‘I Promise’ because I wanted the song to really emphasize the seriousness, power, and meaning behind a promise, whether it’s a friendship or relationship.

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TRINITY ROSE LIKE?
All hype, fun, good vibes, and realism. Trinity is one of those friends that I could look at and say she’ll always be chill as fluff ‘til the end of time. Writing music with her is so fun too. Comes very naturally. I love learning how to bake from her, because I’m not the best at it. I open the oven way too quickly, haha.

WHO ELSE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO COLLABORATE WITH NEXT?
I have no idea. Addison Rae would be cool; I like her music style. I covered one of her songs and it fit my music style real well. Stefan Benz is another really good friend that I would enjoy cooking up a tune with. AJ Mitchell, Daniel Skye, ZAENY would also be incredible artists to work with as well.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS YOU CAN TALK ABOUT?
Everything is on a hush hush as of right now but definitely major plans for my music in the super near future. I’m also one to talk about things once they’re done rather than before they’re implemented.

WHAT IS ONE MESSAGE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUR FANS?
I love you all. You’re the reason I do this. This would be really lonely without all of you. You make releasing music and content so so so fun.

WHERE CAN OUR READERS FIND YOU ONLINE?
Anywhere! You can find me on Google as Adil C, my links are here. I love connecting with people.
